Community Care Physicians is actively seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant in Pain Management to join our dedicated team in Binghamton, New York. Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will be stationed onsite at our Binghamton hospital facility, working within a dynamic and collaborative medical team. The environment is fast-paced, yet supportive, allowing you to engage with colleagues across various specialties. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured setting that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with pain, including taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, such as ordering and interpreting imaging studies, to formulate accurate diagnoses.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that may include prescribing non-narcotic medications, recommending physical therapy, and scheduling necessary interventional procedures.
• Document patient care comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient charts that reflect ongoing treatment outcomes.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, enhancing overall treatment effectiveness.
• Provide exceptional patient education, addressing concerns and questions about pain management regimens and recovery plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients dealing with chronic pain as well as acute pain conditions that may arise from surgical procedures or injuries. The diverse patient population at our facility includes individuals of all ages, each with unique medical backgrounds and treatment needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping these patients navigate their pain management journeys, fostering improved health outcomes through personalized care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Current and active State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant is mandatory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting detailed physical examinations and diagnosing a variety of health conditions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients and the healthcare team.
• An ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably within a pain management or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience with EHR systems and pain management protocols is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with physical therapy methodologies and principles, along with an understanding of non-narcotic pain management strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
