Work Environment

The position is located within our state-of-the-art hospital facility, equipped with the latest medical technology and resources. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct complete patient assessments by acquiring detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and utilizing diagnostic evaluations to confirm pain management needs.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with patient needs, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to best practices.
• Perform necessary procedures, including injectable therapies and minor surgical interventions, under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Provide education to patients regarding their medical conditions, treatment options, and proactive lifestyle changes aimed at pain management and overall health improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring documentation of encounters, treatment protocols, and subsequent follow-up care adheres to regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients who are suffering from chronic pain, which may stem from various conditions including arthritis, back pain, neuropathic disorders, and post-operative recovery contexts. Your role will involve not just managing symptoms, but also implementing preventive care strategies to improve patients' quality of life and promote functional recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, particularly in pain management or a related specialty area.
• Exceptional clinical skills with the capacity to work autonomously while collaborating closely with a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting, ideally within a pain management clinic.
• Familiarity with pain assessment tools and treatment methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage patient care effectively and efficiently under supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 yearly, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based bonuses.
