Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to diagnose pain-related conditions and initiate appropriate treatment plans using advanced diagnostic skills.
• Perform a variety of medical procedures, including injections, nerve blocks, and minimally invasive techniques to alleviate pain.
• Collaborate closely with case management teams to develop and implement comprehensive discharge plans for patients requiring follow-up care.
• Review and accept referrals from physicians, serving as a consulting provider for patients requiring advanced pain management interventions.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation to meet regulatory standards, including insurance requirements and appeals for denied claims.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include being part of on-call schedules to address urgent pain management needs.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care delivery and optimize clinical operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with post-operative pain, chronic pain syndromes, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Our patients often seek relief from debilitating pain conditions; therefore, your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will be essential in providing them with the highest level of care and support throughout their pain management journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Current, active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in pain management or relevant specialties.

Compensation and Benefits
