Material Coordinator The Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular inventory counts, ensuring that all inventory processes and procedures are followed. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Inventory Management: Conduct regular and accurate physical inventory counts (daily cycle counts), reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to management, update inventory records in the system promptly, and monitor/report inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels. Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments, and generate/distribute inventory reports as required. Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality, ensure proper labeling and storage, identify and report any damaged or expired inventory. Compliance and Procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory control, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and participate in audits providing necessary documentation and support. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and issues. Product Movement: Utilize a forklift to move product to and from locations, transfer finished product to designated location in facility/warehouse, and maintain flexibility to work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. One year of related experience preferred. Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role preferred. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, poor lighting, noise, and vibration, with seasonal exposure to weather elements such as extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity. Physical risks such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases. Requires standing, walking in office/warehouse/plant, lifting up to 50 pounds, fine dexterity, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis. Actual compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Salary is compliant with applicable local, state, and federal pay laws.
