Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistFort Myers Broadcasting Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role supports our Radio, TV, and Magazine properties by managing the full accounts payable cycle, including processing a high volume of invoices, vendor relations, and financial reporting tasks.Key Responsibilities:Perform full-cycle accounts payable, including verifying, coding, and processing a high volume of invoices.Maintain accurate records of payments and monitor invoice aging to ensure timely payments.Manage and maintain positive vendor and supplier relationships.Reconcile credit card transactions and process expense reports.Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.Track and manage contractual obligations for compliance and payment scheduling.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.Address internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable matters.Qualifications:Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounts payable processes.Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and levels of management.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in media, broadcasting, or a related industry.Familiarity with contract management and tracking.Physical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computerAbility to use standard office equipment, including computers and phonesAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 poundsBenefits & Perks:Health, Dental, Vision, and HSA (effective 1st of the month after 30 days; subject to plan terms)Company-paid life insurance and EAP; voluntary short-term disabilityPTO (accrual-based) and company-paid holidays401(k)Supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growthEqual Employment Opportunity Statement WINK News is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
