Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to accurately document their mental, behavioral, and emotional health during the initial consultation phase.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster growth and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the highest standard of care.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals to create comprehensive intervention strategies that promote overall wellness.

• Engage in follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, proactively addressing and managing behaviors that may impede clients' progress.

• Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate their loved ones' mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and other mental health conditions. Our telehealth model enables us to reach underserved communities across Texas, providing critical support to those who may face geographic or transportation barriers to traditional in-person therapy. Your role will be vital in delivering accessible care and improving mental health awareness and education.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure efficient client documentation and communication.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with clients and partners alike.
\n
• A compassionate demeanor, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to client-centered care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

• Hands-on experience working with clients facing various mental health conditions and addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, relevant to the treatments you will assist clients with.
