Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while effectively connecting with clients via telehealth platforms. Each therapist is fully equipped with the tools needed to facilitate remote sessions, including access to a secure electronic health record (EHR) system. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs. This flexible work environment promotes work-life balance while serving the mental health needs of our clients efficiently.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to understand the unique challenges faced by older adults.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass cognitive, physical, and social factors influencing the mental health of each client.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which may include individual therapy, family therapy, and psychoeducational sessions to address various geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate closely with our geriatric psychiatry team to ensure a seamless continuum of care that is holistic in nature.

• Offer timely crisis intervention and support for elderly patients navigating mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources to foster a supportive environment.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation compliant with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality oversight in patient care.

• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations to discuss treatment progress and best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest research findings and advancements in geriatric psychiatry to continuously enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on working with the geriatric population, addressing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment issues. You will play a vital role in improving their mental wellness and overall quality of life by providing targeted interventions and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• At least two (2) years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong foundation in geriatric mental health.

• Excellent understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic interventions specific to elderly patients.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a patient-centered and empathetic approach.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000.
