Position Overview

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Physical Therapist to join our dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice in Los Angeles, California. This full-time position involves working onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility where you will play a pivotal role in helping patients regain motion, improve their quality of life, and achieve optimal functionality through personalized care and evidence-based practices.

Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest sports medicine technology to support a wide range of physical therapy needs. We are a practice owned by physical therapists, dedicated to serving individuals with private medical insurance, thus ensuring a supportive environment focused on the individual needs of our patients. Our team includes two licensed physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, all united in delivering the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a dedicated caseload, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality, personalized treatment.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques tailored to address each patient's specific issues.
• Employ cost-effective treatment strategies focusing on improving clients' range of motion and mobility while reducing dependency on medications.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to enhance recovery and optimize physical function.
• Create and implement specialized fitness and wellness programs aimed at patient needs, which may include strength training, flexibility improvement, and coordination exercises.
• Motivate patients throughout the treatment process, providing encouragement and guidance to encourage adherence to prescribed programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to deliver holistic patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly, document patient progress comprehensively, and ensure effective communication throughout the care continuum.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve diverse patient populations with orthopedic conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Our client base is predominantly composed of individuals covered by private insurance, allowing for personalized therapy sessions focused on tangible results and patient satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to work closely with each patient, fostering relationships that enhance their motivation and commitment to recovery.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Exceptional skills in developing and implementing effective exercise treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly WebPT, to enhance practice efficiency and documentation accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient orthopedic practices is highly beneficial.
• Proven track record of employing evidence-based practice in clinical decision-making.
• Experience in developing tailored fitness programs for patients with diverse conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
