TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist. As an integral member of our care team, you will guide patients on their rehabilitation journey to restore movement, enhance functionality, and improve overall quality of life. This role demands expertise in assessment and treatment while fostering strong therapeutic relationships with patients to facilitate their recovery and mobility.

Located in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a premier orthopedic outpatient practice equipped with a state-of-the-art 5000 square foot facility focused on sports medicine. Our clinic is dedicated to providing evidence-based care to individuals with various musculoskeletal issues, primarily serving patients with private medical insurance. Our team, consisting of two qualified physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, is committed to delivering individualized treatment plans that yield significant results.

Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite at our outpatient office in Los Angeles, promoting direct interaction with both patients and colleagues in a collaborative setting. The environment is designed to uphold the highest standards of patient care, featuring advanced rehabilitation and exercise equipment. With our full support staff and integrated approach, you will have the resources necessary to deliver optimal care and monitor progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to establish patients' personal rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, providing one-on-one therapy sessions that last approximately one hour.
• Develop individualized treatment regimens designed to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on reducing pain and enhancing mobility without the reliance on medications or surgical procedures.
• Craft tailored fitness and wellness programs, aligning with each patient's specific needs and fostering a healthier lifestyle.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitative journey to encourage adherence to protocols and maximize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and progress within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, particularly WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, monitor ongoing progress, and adjust care plans as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions requiring outpatient therapy. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with each person to understand their specific needs and provide a supportive framework that promotes healing, functionality, and overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Possession of a valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A strong commitment to maintaining high professional standards, including an unblemished record with no board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques tailored for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Fluency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting, with familiarity in managing diverse patient populations.
• Proven record of success in implementing treatment modalities aimed at enhancing physical activity and recovery.
• Strong skills in communication and patient management, with a passion for educating patients about their care and recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
