Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will operate out of a home care setting in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. Being onsite allows you to engage directly with patients in a comfortable environment, creating a personalized experience that enhances the recovery process. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to assess patients' conditions, taking into account their medical histories, physical capabilities, and personal goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the application of modalities tailored to specific orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate proficiently with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies that maximize patient benefit.
• Provide ongoing education to patients, guiding them through home exercise programs and teaching them about posture correction, ergonomics, and lifestyle adjustments to boost recovery outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient progress and adapt treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment that adheres to state and federal standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in orthopedic physical therapy, integrating new techniques and practices into patient care as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population consisting of individuals with various orthopedic conditions—from acute injuries and post-surgical recovery to chronic pain management and mobility issues. Your ability to empathize and build rapport with patients will be key in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals, improving both their physical function and their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in therapeutic exercise techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire patients.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
• Current certification in CPR/BLS is required.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
