Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess client needs and document their journey from initial consultation to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through a variety of assessment techniques.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on their specific needs and circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methodologies that promote healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress throughout the treatment process and make adjustments to plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
\n
• Follow up on clients who have been hospitalized to discuss their ongoing care plan with psychiatrists and attending physicians.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may impede client recovery, employing proactive strategies to foster resilience.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at San Antonio Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various emotional and behavioral disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds and age groups, allowing you to utilize a wide range of therapeutic interventions tailored to different life experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Strong understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices in mental health counseling as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
