Aviator Sports Center located in iconic Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn provides a variety of sports and league play; including ice hockey, ice skating, football, and much more. Position Title General Utility Associate Reports To Grounds Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Manager / General Manager Department Maintenance Summary The General Utility Worker provides essential support across daily operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic tasks, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This role is responsible for a variety of duties including cleaning, stocking, light maintenance, and supporting team members as needed. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including floors, equipment, restrooms, and common spaces Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal Assist with setup and breakdown of workstations, events, or service areas Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment (if applicable to the environment) Stock and replenish supplies, materials, and inventory as needed Support basic maintenance tasks such as light repairs or reporting maintenance issues Operate basic equipment (e.g., cleaning machines, carts, or small tools) safely Follow all safety, sanitation, and company procedures Assist team members and supervisors with additional tasks as assigned Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment All other duties as may be assigned Requirements Strong attention to detail Willingness to perform a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced environment Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day with frequent bending, twisting and squatting movements and lift up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and professional appearance Hourly Rate of Pay $17.50 Education and Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent Equal Employment Opportunity Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr ExplorUS
