Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks designed to support the mental health of our clients:

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and social well-being.

• Engage in care coordination by collaborating with other healthcare professionals to devise effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapeutic treatment, employing evidence-based practices.

• Consult with a multidisciplinary team to derive insights and strategies for optimal patient care.

• Liaise with community agencies to connect clients with additional resources and supports.

• Document all treatment plans and session notes diligently, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.

• Participate in disposition planning and advocate for client needs throughout the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve adult and geriatric clients, with the potential to extend services to child and adolescent populations in the future. This diverse patient demographic may include individuals facing a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and serious mental health conditions. Your role will be pivotal in fostering healing and resilience in these populations.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• An active, unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Proficiency in various theoretical and clinical models relevant to psychotherapy.

• Experience building therapeutic alliances and effective rapport with diverse clientele.

• Expertise in maintaining accurate and detailed clinical documentation per established Medical Records policies.

• Familiarity with community resources and social work ethics related to mental health practice.

• Adept at conducting mental status exams and discerning shifts in mental health among clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain healthy relationships with colleagues and support staff.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have a solid understanding of community mental health resources, including knowledge of residential and vocational supports, as well as experience navigating such systems for client advocacy. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training in the field will be viewed favorably, as will previous experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n
