Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health and substance use conditions, ensuring a thorough understanding of any co-occurring disorders.

• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on developing essential coping strategies, regulating emotions, and preventing relapses.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to design and coordinate comprehensive care strategies, enhancing the client's recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and engage them with motivational interviewing techniques to encourage sustained engagement in treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment recommendations.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress, interactions, and referrals in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Participate in case conferences and ongoing training to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, reflecting diverse backgrounds and needs. Your work will be instrumental in guiding these individuals toward recovery and fostering an environment that promotes healing, resilience, and self-efficacy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the interrelatedness of mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards.
\n
• Experience leading group therapy sessions will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n
