Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to establish their specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals related to substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Provide individual counseling sessions that foster trust and facilitate change, helping clients strengthen their coping skills and resilience.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that offer peer support and promote common recovery themes, encouraging clients to share experiences and strategies.

• Respond to crises with compassion and expertise, providing immediate support to clients experiencing substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery resources, and strategies for ongoing support beyond therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from adolescents to adults who are navigating the challenges of addiction recovery. Many of our individuals have complex backgrounds and may also be facing co-occurring mental health issues. As a counselor, you will be instrumental in providing trauma-informed care and addressing the unique needs of each client, thereby promoting successful recovery outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to addiction treatment.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group counseling sessions in addiction-focused contexts.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients empathetically and without judgment.

• Strong ethical framework and ability to maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.

• Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications for effective case management.

• Collaboration skills necessary to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
