Work Environment

Located in the scenic community of Berkeley Heights, our Rehabilitation Facility offers a welcoming atmosphere designed to enhance the patient experience. As a Physical Therapist on our team, you will have the chance to work alongside orthopedics specialists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients. The work hours are Monday to Friday, providing a balanced schedule from 2 PM to 8 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered therapy by managing the complete therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients, working in coordination with physicians and the broader patient care team.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans that emphasize achieving patient goals and enhancing engagement.
• Provide a majority of the physical therapy services needed throughout the continuum of care, ensuring continuity and consistency in treatment.
• Evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status, and actively participate in creating a comprehensive plan of care tailored to meet the needs of each patient.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions at the patient's home when appropriate, employing specific procedures and techniques that align with the physician's plan of care.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on prescribed therapy techniques, exercises, and the use of therapeutic appliances to maximize recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Manage your caseload effectively, prioritizing patient needs, determining daily staffing requirements, and coordinating task assignments and hand-offs to ensure optimal care delivery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No previous experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates seeking to begin their professional journey.

Preferred Experience

While no professional experience is necessary, candidates with internships or clinical rotations in rehabilitation settings may find their transition into the role smoother. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and patient management platforms is a plus, helping streamline the documentation and care processes.

Compensation and Benefits
