Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs, goals, and strengths of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual.

• Provide individual counseling sessions using approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to support patient progress.

• Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions, fostering peer interaction and mutual support among participants in their recovery journey.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare units to deliver integrated patient care across services.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, ensuring immediate response to any substance-related emergencies that may arise.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction issues, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support networks.

• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay current with trends, research findings, and best practices related to substance use treatment to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on adult patients grappling with substance use disorders, many of whom may also experience co-occurring mental health issues. You will provide supportive, non-judgmental care, employing an empathetic approach to foster trust and communication. Your contribution will not only affect the individuals you work with but also extend to their families, as you guide them through the recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Robust understanding of substance use disorders, therapeutic interventions, and recovery-oriented care principles.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy specifically within addiction treatment contexts.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to diverse patient backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical settings, preferably working with populations battling substance use disorders.
