Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions either in-home or via telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility for families.
\n
• Implement therapeutic interventions focusing on anger management, coping strategies, social skills development, and behavioral modifications to address high-risk behaviors such as self-injury (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers to facilitate decision-making processes regarding in-home behavioral challenges, enhancing overall family dynamics.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to provide a cohesive support system for the youth and families.
\n
• Document all therapy sessions accurately, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established deadlines and protocols.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets children aged 3-20 who present with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will be making a significant impact by helping these children and their families navigate and overcome daily struggles, enhancing their quality of life through tailored therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A commitment to providing at least 5-10 hours of availability per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with some flexibility for weekends.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for any required in-home visits.
\n
• A clean criminal background, which includes fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While the above qualifications are necessary, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Experience providing positive behavior support techniques.

• Previous work history with children and adolescents, particularly focused on those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly advantageous, enabling better communication with a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
