Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your work will take place entirely onsite within our well-equipped Rehabilitation Facility in Arlington. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring functional abilities, in accordance with established treatment plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure compliance with the personalized care p`lans while also providing mentoring and support.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' functional levels through diagnostic tests and assessments involving muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Make home assessments to develop recommendations that empower patients and increase their independence in daily activities.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as manual exercises, traction, and massage, to promote rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals during case reviews and treatment planning sessions to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Develop, review, and update care plans regularly, adjusting treatment based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.
• Provide patient education concerning therapy devices and comprehensive treatment programs to ensure effective home practice.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate any changes in conditions to the interdisciplinary team and family members, reinforcing our commitment to integrated care.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and reliable automobile insurance, as some mobility may be required.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, candidates who have worked in acute care or home care settings will be given preference.
