Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive individual, couples, and family therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, providing effective psychological interventions.
• Maintain confidential and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring all records are regularly updated and securely stored.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans that best address client needs.
• Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development, keeping up to date with the latest therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about mental health resources and promoting overall wellness within the Chattanooga community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of our therapy team, you will work with a diverse patient population that may include individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and various behavioral issues. Our clients vary in age, race, and socioeconomic background, allowing you to employ a range of therapeutic approaches adapted to their individual circumstances. This role emphasizes the importance of cultural competency in understanding and addressing the unique experiences of each client.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred to enhance therapeutic efficacy.
• Must hold a current state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in counseling or a closely related field is required to qualify for this position.
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with strong interpersonal and listening skills to foster relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for tailoring interventions and aiding clients through challenging scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and enhance workflow efficiency.
• A background in working within a telehealth framework or remote therapeutic engagement, particularly relevant as we adapt to evolving client needs.
• Professional development in specialized therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care is highly valued.
