Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Delivering trauma-informed counseling to individuals, couples, and families, facilitating healing and resilience.

• Incorporating biblical counseling principles into therapy sessions for clients seeking a faith-based approach, while also addressing mental health challenges.

• Developing and executing tailored treatment plans based on thorough assessments of client needs and aspirations.

• Providing therapy sessions to clients referred from local churches and community organizations, actively participating in outreach endeavors.

• Maintaining open communication with the center's leadership regarding scheduling, client progression, and any training needs.

• Documenting client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely manner.

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and clinical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied client demographic, including individuals and families facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• Possession of an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license in Washington, with a willingness to achieve licensure in DC within 200 hours post-residency.

• Demonstrated strong understanding of biblical counseling principles and techniques.
\n
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including participation in EMDR training within three months of hire.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse populations.
\n
• Emotional intelligence, empathy, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in counseling practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will bring at least one year of experience in trauma-informed counseling, showcasing their ability to create meaningful therapeutic relationships and achieve positive client outcomes. A dual license in Virginia or Maryland would also be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
