Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of resident mobility, pain levels, strength, and functionality to determine individualized needs and goals.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans in alignment with the residents' objectives and physician recommendations, ensuring evidence-based practices.
• Deliver hands-on therapy sessions aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and preventing further injuries through targeted exercises and interventions.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers about therapeutic techniques, exercise regimens, and self-care strategies to promote independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and adjust interdisciplinary care plans that reflect the comprehensive needs of each resident.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation compliant with Medicare and state regulatory standards, ensuring clarity and continuity of care.
• Contribute to a warm, patient-oriented environment that fosters dignity and respect for our senior residents, promoting their overall quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse population of residents in a rehabilitation facility. This includes elderly individuals recovering from surgeries, strokes, fractures, and degenerative conditions, as well as adults seeking rehabilitation after injuries. Your role is crucial in helping them regain their mobility and independence, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia, or eligibility for licensure.
• A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent).
• Current CPR/BLS certification or a commitment to obtain certification upon hire.
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills, essential for managing resident care and collaborating with team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team, adapting to the dynamic needs of our residents.

Preferred Experience

• While not mandatory, experience in geriatrics or long-term care is preferred and will be considered advantageous to the role.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing treatment plans tailored to diverse patient needs and conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 annually , commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
