Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate each patient's needs by implementing thorough diagnostic tests to develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring mobility and managing pain.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of care following established plans.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises and guide patients through both non-manual exercises and functional activities, ensuring all techniques are conducted safely and effectively.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to evaluate a patient's recovery process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs and goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in case conferences to discuss comprehensive treatment avenues and engage in ongoing evaluations of the clients' progress.
• Document all clinical records accurately, including initial evaluations, progress updates, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Provide education and instruction to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation exercises, self-care techniques, and the utilization of adaptive devices.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to remain current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient clients ranging from young athletes to seniors, each with unique physical therapy needs. Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must possess a current and valid PT license in the state of Virginia or be in pursuit of licensure.
• One year of experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient or acute care setting is preferred.
• CPR certification and a demonstrated passion for delivering excellent patient-centered care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
