Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs, goals, and medical histories.
• Provide hands-on therapy, utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and modalities to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Guide patients through customized exercise programs designed to strengthen affected areas and increase overall physical function.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise strategies and lifestyle adjustments to promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy aides, occupational therapists, and physicians, to ensure a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.
• Participate in case discussions and contribute to team meetings aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Stay updated on the latest research and innovations in physical therapy to ensure evidence-based practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgery, neurological disorders, and other conditions affecting mobility. Our clients range from athletes seeking rehabilitation to seniors aiming to maintain independence and mobility. Compassionate care tailored to each patient's circumstances is integral to our practice.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• A track record of 2 years in a physical therapy setting, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Exceptional proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a keen understanding of therapeutic exercises.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, with experience in WebPT preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and implementing sports rehabilitation programs, particularly for active individuals and athletes.
• Familiarity with the latest advancements and research trends in physical therapy.
• Evidence of continuous professional development through workshops, certifications, or additional training.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive and varies from USD 60,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
