Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility, which boasts advanced therapeutic equipment and resources to facilitate effective patient care. The environment is designed to support both patient and staff needs, fostering a sense of teamwork and camaraderie among healthcare professionals. You will work regular hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs, developing personalized treatment plans.
• Execute a diverse range of therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patient mobility and overall function, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, to ensure focused, high-quality care during each session.
• Implement cost-effective therapy techniques that minimize the use of medication and promote non-surgical alternatives for pain management.
• Design tailored fitness and wellness programs to enhance physical health tailored to individual patient goals and conditions.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously, utilizing electronic medical records software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, maintaining communication with patients about their rehabilitation journey.
• Encourage a proactive approach toward self-care and health promotion among patients, fostering their independence and confidence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and those dealing with age-related musculoskeletal issues. Your expertise will be critical in helping patients regain strength, flexibility, and function after surgery or injury, ensuring they can return to their daily activities and interests.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with no records of disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the design of exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to facilitate patient record management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Experience with rehabilitative techniques specific to orthopedic conditions and post-surgical recovery.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 95,000 per year, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
