Work Environment\n

In this remote position, you will have the flexibility to manage your work-life integration while ensuring that you are effectively addressing the needs of our clients. While the primary work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate our patients' needs. You will utilize various telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to conduct therapy sessions, collaborate with colleagues, and document progress. Our environment fosters connectivity and teamwork, even from a distance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each client.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy, to effectively address mental health issues.
\n
• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers, enhancing their capability to create supportive home environments.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other members of the mental health team to ensure cohesive and holistic care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during emergencies involving young clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources to foster understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health care to children and adolescents experiencing diverse challenges, including emotional and behavioral issues. You will engage closely with clients aged 5 to 18 years and their families, aiming to facilitate positive mental health outcomes and promote resilience among young individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
\n
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a relevant setting, ideally with a focus on child and adolescent populations.
\n
• Robust knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies and a variety of therapeutic approaches suitable for younger clients.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and family therapy.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with a deep understanding of child-centered approaches to therapy.
\n
• Strong ability to build trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and various therapeutic technologies.
\n
• Capacity to thrive within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as play therapy or trauma-informed care.

• Knowledge of local community resources for families in need of additional support.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with your experience.
