Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is based in our onsite rehabilitation facility, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies and tools designed to support effective treatment modalities. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to adapt to patient needs and clinic schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy techniques.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and effective home exercise programs to enhance recovery and self-management.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, evaluating improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall physical well-being.
• Organize treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are accessible and ready for use.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans that optimize patient recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a motivating environment that empowers patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinic serves a diverse patient population, including children facing developmental challenges, athletes recovering from injuries, seniors needing specialized geriatric care, and individuals rehabilitating post-surgery. Your role as a Physical Therapist will involve customizing treatment approaches to ensure that each patient's unique needs are effectively addressed, contributing positively to their rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for patient documentation and monitoring.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
