Work Environment

This position is based onsite, where therapists engage with patients in their homes, allowing the delivery of tailored rehabilitation programs in a comfortable and familiar setting. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available, either from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, enabling a balanced work-life dynamic. Our home care model emphasizes personalized attention and continuity of care, ensuring patients receive support throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, identifying areas for improvement and creating individualized treatment plans that emphasize mobility, strength, balance, and pain reduction.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, including massage, stretching, and exercise programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment efficacy, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for seamless communication and record-keeping.
• Participate in clinical teaching efforts, providing guidance and mentorship to physical therapy interns and students, while also contributing to the continuous educational development of the staff.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives, exploring innovative treatment methods that align with our commitment to excellence in orthopedic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This diverse patient population necessitates an empathetic approach and adaptability in treatment strategies. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals restore their independence and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid New York State Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, showcasing your clinical expertise and patient care capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.
• Proficient clinical assessment skills to evaluate and address diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, demonstrating a commitment to specialization within this field.

Compensation and Benefits
