Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based approaches to inform treatment planning.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions that address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral problems.

• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops and in-house training, to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of emerging best practices.

• Contribute insights to improve overall patient care and service delivery through team meetings and reviews.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve at Breaking Cycles Mental Health Clinic range from adolescents to adults and typically present with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship challenges. You will be expected to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients from diverse backgrounds, utilizing culturally competent practices to deliver personalized care that meets their emotional and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as a mental health counselor in California (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW).

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience working in mental health settings, providing direct service to clients.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly with clients and work collaboratively within a team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
