Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders, regularly assessing and adjusting care plans based on patient progress.

• Develop strategic referrals to community resources, treatment programs, and support groups that can assist patients in their healing journey.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to create and execute comprehensive discharge plans to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.

• Uphold and comply with all federal, state, and local mental health regulations, including adherence to the Mental Health Practice Act.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments, providing support and crisis interventions as needed for both patients and their families.

• Educate and communicate with patients, their families, and external agencies to ensure a streamlined care process, addressing any barriers to treatment.

• Advocate for patients effectively within the healthcare system and coordinate with various stakeholders to address complex care needs.

• Participate in staff support initiatives, including debriefings post-adverse events, to maintain a healthy working atmosphere.

• Identify patients with potential discharge complexities, strategizing solutions to avoid unnecessary readmissions or prolongation of care.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Unity Point Behavioral Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000.
