PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist II - NICU @ Cobb Hospital

Work Shift Night (United States of America) Responsibilities Administer medications and implement respiratory care based on expanded knowledge and the evaluate‑and‑treat process. Manage protocol ventilator therapy in critical care settings with significant independent decision‑making. Provide patient, family, and support system education; coordinate activities and staff development. Deliver patient assessment for respiratory therapy and verify orders for aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, and oxygen medical gas therapy. Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Assist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing. Ensure a safe quality environment and promote performance improvement initiatives for enhanced care quality. Provide supportive environment for students and staff; collaborate with health‑care team members in planning patient care. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist with 0–2 years clinical experience. Minimum of 6 months critical care experience. Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills with physicians and other health‑care professionals. Computer skills, including familiarity with databases.
