Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (Temporary-to-Hire) Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00 Employment Type: Temporary-to-Hire Industry: Non-Profit A mission-driven non-profit organization in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role will be responsible for general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and supporting the organization's day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger Perform month-end and year-end close activities Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and grant-related accounts Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation Analyze variances and support budget-to-actual reporting Partner with Finance leadership on process improvements and special projects Support accounting system upgrades and conversions as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Advanced Excel skills Non-profit accounting experience is highly preferred Experience supporting accounting system conversions or ERP implementations is a plus Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour Search managed by: Ryan Sydow Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
