Position Title HR Coordinator Location George R. Brown Convention Center Job Summary We are seeking a highly discreet, detail‑oriented HR Coordinator with experience in the hospitality industry to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily HR operations while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, understands the unique dynamics of hospitality staffing, and demonstrates absolute integrity when handling sensitive employee and organisational information. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably within hospitality, hotels, or service‑based industries Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced hospitality environment Preferred Skills Experience with high‑volume, fast paced environments with constant change Knowledge of scheduling/workforce systems common in hospitality Bilingual capabilities (a plus depending on workforce needs) HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP) preferred, not required Key Competencies Discretion & Integrity – unwavering commitment to confidentiality Attention to Detail – accuracy in documentation and reporting Customer Service Mindset – supportive and approachable demeanor Time Management – ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment Problem‑Solving – handles sensitive issues with professionalism Key Responsibilities Maintain and update confidential employee records in HRIS systems Serve as a trusted liaison between employees and leadership on HR‑related matters Support recruitment efforts including scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking systems Assist in employee relations matters while ensuring discretion and compliance with company policies Coordinate training sessions, compliance certifications, and performance review processes Process employment verifications, background checks, and HR documentation securely Support payroll coordination and benefits administration while safeguarding sensitive compensation data Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, especially within hospitality environments Strict Confidentiality Expectations Handle highly sensitive employee data with absolute confidentiality Adhere to all data protection, privacy, and record retention policies Exercise sound judgment when managing confidential or escalated situations Maintain professionalism and neutrality in all employee interactions Protect company and employee information both inside and outside the workplace Benefits Instapay (early access to your wages) and high interest savings both through the EVEN app Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Program Discount Marketplace Employee Assistance Program Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
