As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the engine behind our growth. You'll identify new opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and deliver solutions that make a real difference for our customers. Your work will include:
- Developing and executing strategic plans that drive revenue growth and elevate customer satisfaction
- Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and prospects
- Leveraging financial insights to strengthen sales performance
- Tracking and analyzing sales activity to ensure goals are met and exceeded
- Conducting industry research to uncover trends and inform sales strategies
- Promoting Innovative Office Solutions' full suite of products and services
- Leading conversations that uncover customer challenges and position our solutions effectively
- Listening actively to understand client needs and tailor recommendations
- Participating in community and philanthropic initiatives that reflect our values
- Collaborating with the Sales Director to develop annual and quarterly sales strategies
- Staying ahead of industry trends and partnering with category experts to deliver best‑in‑class solutions
- Strengthening long‑term customer relationships through exceptional service and follow‑through
- Streamlining ordering processes with internal teams
- Resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Maintaining high retention rates and deepening relationships with key purchasing contacts
- Meeting and exceeding activity and sales goals, including:
- Prospecting and account management through CRM tools
- Completing dashboard activities (New Customers, Insiders, Tours, Business Reviews, Opportunities)
- Using reports and tools to optimize performance and drive results
You're a natural hunter — someone who thrives on finding opportunities, opening doors, and closing business. You're competitive, driven, and energized by growth. The ideal candidate brings:
- A proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing new business
- Strong communication skills — confident, clear, and compelling
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook (or the drive to learn quickly)
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- A results‑oriented mindset with a passion for financial and career growth
- Understanding of sales objectives, pricing, and competitive landscapes (industry experience is a plus)
- A competitive spirit and the resilience to succeed in a dynamic selling environment
