Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and current needs, detailing patient backgrounds to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Create and execute individualized treatment plans centered around trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through healing processes, fostering coping mechanisms, and encouraging personal growth.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care strategies are provided and address all patient needs holistically.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring support is readily available.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, empowering them with coping tools and resources to support their healing journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation, complying with legal and ethical standards essential in mental health practice.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives focused on the latest advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals affected by various trauma-related disorders, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, veterans with PTSD, and clients experiencing complex trauma or dissociative disorders. You will engage with a diverse range of patients, employing personalized strategies that cater to their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is mandatory.

• Knowledge and familiarity with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions are essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; you must approach clients with compassion and sensitivity.

• Strong ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, particularly when dealing with crisis interventions.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
