Description – What You'll Do

• Evaluate results for precision, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment as necessary.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for examination when required.
• Thoroughly document procedures, provide training to new staff or students, and help to maintain lab quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within a year of hiring.
• Maintain current certification throughout your employment.
