Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Outpatient Specialist

Work Environment

As a member of our onsite team, you will work in an outpatient office setting during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The office is equipped with advanced treatment and rehabilitation technologies to facilitate personalized care plans. You will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) in an encouraging environment that prioritizes teamwork and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patient needs, tailor treatment plans, and set realistic functional goals.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, serving approximately one patient per hour while ensuring high-quality care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and implement tailored exercise regimens to improve patients' motion and mobility.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress through regular assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all interventions and outcomes meticulously, maintaining clear and accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide education on injury prevention and promote health and wellness strategies to encourage patients' adoption of a healthier lifestyle.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to optimize patient care and coordinate treatment efforts.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques and modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance who present a variety of orthopedic conditions. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, those managing chronic pain, and athletes needing rehabilitation services. Your role will significantly influence their recovery, helping to restore normal function and encouraging a proactive approach to their health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in California, without any disciplinary actions or board actions on record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience navigating EMR software platforms, especially WebPT, to manage patient records effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly advantageous.
• Strong background in wellness and fitness program design tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience in providing care that promotes minimal reliance on medications and avoidance of unnecessary surgical interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities to support your professional growth and development.
