Work Environment

The role is based onsite within our outpatient office, which fosters a collaborative atmosphere among healthcare professionals, including two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our clinic's busy environment demands an organized approach and the ability to connect with patients while managing varied caseloads. Regular working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their unique needs and develop customized treatment plans.
• Provide individualized physical therapy sessions with an optimal patient load of one client per hour, ensuring focused attention on each therapy session.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to enhance patients' physical capabilities.
• Develop and implement effective, cost-efficient treatment strategies aimed at improving patients' motion and mobility.
• Encourage and guide patients to adopt healthier lifestyle choices, emphasizing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through tailored fitness programs.
• Regularly document patient interactions and the effectiveness of treatments to maintain accurate medical records and facilitate ongoing communication within the care team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and share insights related to patient care.
• Monitor the progress of clients and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure maximum recovery outcomes.
• Promote alternative treatments that minimize reliance on medications and explore surgery alternatives when appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on those undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions that affect their mobility. Your expertise will directly contribute to the journey of each patient as they navigate their recovery process, ensuring that they feel supported and empowered throughout their treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent qualifications is required.
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions should have been taken against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a deep understanding of exercise science are required.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT, and the ability to efficiently document patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience in designing and implementing rehabilitation programs specifically for musculoskeletal injuries.
• Proven track record of utilizing evidence-based practices in physical therapy treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
