We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Athletic Edge Physiotherapy in San Bernardino, California. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will deliver high-quality physical therapy services to patients, developing tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility and function following injuries and surgeries related to orthopedic issues.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position where you will primarily operate in the patient's homes, ensuring both comfort and convenience for those in recovery. Your typical work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. As an outpatient therapist, you will engage with a diverse patient population, using innovative approaches tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique needs, preferences, and functional goals.
• Administer hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, employing modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and facilitate healing.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive and effective treatment across all levels of care.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs targeted to enhance recovery, as well as on posture correction techniques and ergonomic lifestyle modifications.
• Regularly track, document, and analyze patient progress, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and orderly therapy environment, adhering to both state and federal guidelines to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing education activities to remain current with emerging trends and evidence-based practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients ranging from post-operative rehabilitation cases following surgeries such as joint replacements, to sports injuries, fractures, and chronic pain disorders. This role requires a strong ability to engage and motivate patients, fostering an environment of trust and encouragement that promotes effective recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise methodologies.
• Capable of operating independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Outstanding communication skills are essential for collaborating with patients and healthcare team members.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required to ensure patient safety in all situations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and patient management software is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice is preferred.
• New graduates with a strong desire to learn and grow within the field of orthopedic physical therapy are encouraged to apply.
• A proven track record of effectively managing a caseload while providing high-quality, individualized care is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including:
