Role Description The Business Development Representative is a commission role focused across the Washington DC‑Baltimore Area, supporting the Card My Yard – Owings Mills, MD location. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including contacting potential customers, responding to inquiries, and nurturing relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations. Day‑to‑day tasks include managing inside sales activities, generating leads through phone, email, and social media outreach, and following up on referrals to convert prospects into customers. The representative will collaborate on promotions, track sales metrics, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, while coordinating closely with operations to ensure smooth scheduling and delivery of yard greetings. This position requires consistent on‑site presence for client meetings, local networking, and community events. Qualifications Strong Inside Sales and Lead Generation skills, with the ability to build and manage a steady pipeline of prospects. Proficiency in Sales and Business Development, including closing deals and expanding relationships with local organizations. Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging potential customers and partners. Comfort using basic CRM or sales tracking tools, email, and social media platforms for outreach and follow‑up. Customer‑focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional demeanor.
