This part-time role is primarily remote, giving you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home or an outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions and group therapy meetings at our outpatient office, ensuring a comfortable environment conducive to healing.

• Provide individual and family therapy, focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Work actively on reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and aggression, by equipping clients with effective decision-making tools.

• Document all aspects of therapy, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to designated timelines.

• Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute recommendations for the enhancement of therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on working with a diverse population of children aged 3-20, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). You will engage with children who require specialized support through therapeutic interventions designed for their individual needs, enabling them and their families to better cope with life’s challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4-7 PM, with a willingness for weekend sessions as needed.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly in administering positive behavior support strategies.

• Prior experience in therapeutic settings focusing on children with intellectual/developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle, as travel may be required for home visits.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to comply with industry regulations.
