Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health by utilizing evidence-based diagnostic tools to identify treatment needs effectively.

• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions tailored to the unique challenges of clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, among other issues.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops to share knowledge, foster community support, and empower clients in their recovery journey.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include clearly defined therapeutic goals and practical interventions aimed at achieving those objectives.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations by conducting risk assessments and coordinating emergency interventions to ensure the safety of clients.

• Engage in continuous learning through professional development activities, including attending workshops, webinars, and peer consultations.

• Coordinate care with other mental health professionals—such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers—to provide a comprehensive treatment approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges. This includes individuals dealing with acute distress, chronic mental health conditions, and substance abuse issues. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in New York State, which requires successful completion of a state-recognized exam and supervised clinical hours.

Compensation and Benefits\n
