Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Down East Care, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for patients referred by physicians.
• Implementing effective therapeutic interventions and continuously monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Delivering care that targets various specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine.
• Providing patient and caregiver education to enhance understanding of treatment plans and empower patients in their recovery processes.
• Documenting patient treatments and outcomes meticulously to track improvement and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient recovery through evidence-based methodologies.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service, building rapport with patients to foster trust and motivation.
• Meeting established business and utilization metrics to contribute to the overall success of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a varied patient base that encompasses individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interactions.
• Proficiency in computer applications to efficiently document patient care and treatment plans.
• A proven ability to build strong relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with additional qualifications will be given preference, including:

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a recognized program.
• Two years of clinical experience in physical therapy practice.
• CPR certification and recent continuing education in relevant specialties.

Compensation and Benefits
