Work Environment

Work at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Saint Petersburg offers a collaborative and supportive environment, with a team-oriented approach to patient care. Our center is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and tools to facilitate effective treatment protocols, ensuring our therapists have everything they need to provide exceptional patient experiences. The center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients by reviewing their medical histories, conducting comprehensive physical assessments, and interpreting diagnostic tests to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement effective treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, continually adapting plans based on patients' progress and evolving healthcare standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including legible daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations, utilizing our electronic health record system to track the treatment course and outcomes.
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring any significant changes in patient conditions are promptly addressed.
• Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients, including recommendations for follow-up care, and ensuring all protocol documentation is completed in a timely fashion.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient access and healthcare delivery effectiveness.
• Stay compliant with all state, local, and federal regulations while maintaining all required training and certifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists primarily work with individuals experiencing functional limitations and disabilities resulting from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and a range of neurological disorders. We focus on developing personalized care strategies that promote healing and empower patients, enabling them to regain independence and improve overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or recognized equivalent.
• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• At least two years of outpatient orthopedic experience demonstrating a proven ability to assess, treat, and document physical therapy interventions effectively.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is the minimum requirement, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, offering extensive knowledge in the latest treatment methodologies. Experience working in fast-paced outpatient settings is also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
