Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexibility, primarily operating remotely, while also engaging in an outpatient office setting in San Antonio, Texas. Our work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally informed mental health assessments, taking the time to understand each patient’s unique background and experiences.

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that reflect the cultural and personal context of each individual, ensuring personalized care.

• Provide a variety of therapeutic services, including individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering resilience.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to formulate comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support in mental health emergencies, employing effective de-escalation techniques.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge about their treatment options.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings to enhance service delivery and share insights from ongoing training sessions.

• Stay current on best practices in mental health treatment, particularly focusing on cultural competency and evidence-based methodologies.

As a Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all patients feel understood and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy with a strong emphasis on cultural responsiveness.
\n
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport with a wide-ranging clientele.
\n
• Competency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to streamline documentation.
\n
• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all client interactions.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a multicultural mental health setting, particularly with immigrant or refugee populations.

• Exposure to various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.

• A track record of facilitating workshops or training sessions on mental health awareness and cultural sensitivity.

Compensation and Benefits\n
