You will be primarily engaged in an outpatient office setting, where you will perform assessments and therapy sessions virtually. Our practice employs advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure seamless documentation and client management, enabling you to focus entirely on patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations and document cases meticulously from initial consultations through the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop individualized and comprehensive treatment plans that encompass therapeutic techniques suited to the client’s specific needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote mental and emotional healing.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to create holistic intervention plans.

• Follow up with visiting healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for clients who experience hospitalization.
\n
• Identify potential behavioral barriers to recovery and implement preventive strategies to address these challenges.

• Guide family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health difficulties associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse issues. Your role will be instrumental in fostering resilience and empowering clients to navigate their mental health journeys effectively. By creating a safe and empathetic therapeutic environment, you can significantly impact their recovery and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Successfully passing the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.

• Experience working with clients presenting underlying physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of the pharmacological implications related to prescribed medications and their psychological effects.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills paired with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Mental Harbor Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
