Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide clinical consultation regarding mental health issues to clinical staff, ensuring all team members understand the unique needs of a diverse patient population.

• Effectively interpret and communicate critical information regarding patients’ social histories to colleagues and care providers, facilitating comprehensive treatment planning.

• Coordinate patient care by making informed recommendations and aiding in decision-making processes pertaining to individual care plans, especially concerning home environments and community resources.

• Design and implement targeted treatment plans while regularly reviewing and discussing cases with providers to assess outcomes and adjust strategies as needed.

• Document client progress through concise and thorough progress notes following each session, maintaining clear and accurate records in compliance with organizational standards.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the organization, participating in team meetings and contributing innovative ideas to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with diverse populations, including geriatric clients and individuals experiencing substance use challenges. By understanding the complexities of each client’s situation, you will provide tailored support to empower them on their mental health journey. The role involves not only therapy but also a strong focus on building relationships with clients to foster trust and facilitate better outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Active, independent licensure in New York as either LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT is mandatory.

• Proficiency in completing timely and detailed progress notes post-session, demonstrating strong communication and documentation skills.

• A deep understanding of mental health legislation and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
