Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring functional abilities based on each client's specific needs and care plan.
• Evaluate the client's functional capabilities through diagnostic assessments of muscles, nerves, joints, and overall physical abilities.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants, ensuring that the treatment plans are implemented accurately and effectively.
• Offer individualized therapy sessions that may include administering therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and applying physical agents as part of the treatment modalities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of home environments to make tailored recommendations that promote client independence during rehabilitation.
• Participate in the development, revision, and execution of patient care plans, ensuring they reflect current progress and patient needs.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, including OASIS documentation, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on a holistic treatment approach, sharing insights and advocating for patient care improvements.
• Educate clients and their families on their treatment programs, including the use of devices, and empower them with knowledge for continued recovery.
• Ensure timely submission of all clinical and administrative documentation in compliance with clinic protocols.
• Conduct regular assessments and revisions to care plans based on patient feedback and clinical observations, adjusting goals as necessary.
• Supervise training for physical therapy assistants to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
