Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing you to interact with patients directly in their homes. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population suffering from musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, employing thorough assessments to guide treatment methods.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evidence and patient preferences, regularly adjusting approaches as necessary based on progress and response.
• Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, ensuring all treatments foster effective recovery.
• Educate patients on best practices for injury prevention and develop personalized home exercise programs to maintain their rehabilitation progress independently.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, chiropractors, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, ensuring compliance with both state regulations and clinic standards, utilizing electronic health record systems to streamline processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach, particularly in understanding the challenges faced by patients in a home care setting. An emphasis on building trusting relationships will enhance patient engagement and adherence to therapeutic protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid and active Physical Therapist license in California or eligibility for licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent.
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills, with the ability to apply clinical reasoning in treatment planning.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate and motivate patients.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team, ensuring every patient receives the best possible care.

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally focusing on orthopedic or sports rehabilitation.
• Previous experience in home care or community-based therapy services is a plus.
• Background in manual therapy techniques that can enhance patient care outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
