Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities to devise actionable treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implementing and directing physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the established plan of care, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Administering a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercise regimens, and modalities such as traction and massage.
• Assessing the home environment of clients and recommending modifications to enhance their independence and safety.
• Maintaining precise clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Instructing clients and families on the proper use of therapeutic equipment and the principles of effective home exercise programs.
• Engaging with various stakeholders, including physicians and case managers, to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily include individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses requiring rehabilitative services. This includes elderly patients needing support in managing chronic conditions, individuals returning to daily activities post-surgery, and those recovering from acute medical events who require tailored therapy interventions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing within the state of California.
• Proficiency in evaluating and treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Effective communication skills, allowing for clear instruction and interaction with patients and families.
• A dedication to professional development and active engagement in lifelong learning within the field.
• Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple patient cases and document care effectively.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least one year of experience as a physical therapist in either acute care or home care settings. Familiarity with federal, state regulations, and compliance in healthcare will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
